Last week I shared with you this beautiful mama-to-be's maternity portraits. Even though she was only 4 days before her due date, we managed to squeeze in a last minute session and I'm so glad we did!

Little baby A decided it was nice and cozy inside, so mama had to wait an extra week to meet her, but her birth day finally came!

She started off wide awake, but after a full tummy and some snuggles she fell quickly asleep.

We were able to get in several set ups during the session time. A's parents indicated that they were especially hoping for a variety of individual portraits of A, so we spent the majority of the time on those rather than parent poses (although we did those too!).

I have a large variety of props, wraps and blankets to choose from for newborn sessions. The fushia and purple complimented A's dark hair and I love the bright pops of colour!

The best time to book your newborn session is while you are pregnant. Newborn portraits are booked when baby is between 4-10 days old for the best curled up sleepy poses. Of course, we can accommodate older babies as well!
