Calmar Photographer Grad Photos

Spring is such an exciting time for everyone, but especially for the Calmar graduate! Graduating high school is such a big milestone in a teen's life and I was so happy to be part of it by providing this beautiful girl with graduation pictures so she can remember this time forever.

Photographing a young adult is a lot different that small children! We were able to try out a number of locations and poses in an efficient amount of time. We started in front of these beautiful birch and poplar trees. The leaves have only recently grown so everything is such a beautiful green colour.

Don't you just love her dress?! I've seen this popular two piece style a lot recently and thing it is very versatile; she can probably wear each piece separately for a different occasion.

Next we moved to an area that features some old buildings and barns. The red of this building complimented her black dress beautifully and provided a pop of colour. Her make up (which this talented teen did herself!) and beautiful curls really pop against this background.

The only downside to this session was the wind. It was blowing clouds across the sky quickly so the lighting kept on changing, but we embraced the wind for this beautiful image. I'm a bit of a literary geek, and this image reminds me of something from Wuthering Heights, of a young Catherine playing out on the moor.

Of course, we make some more images that were a bit more 21st century! It was such a pleasure to meet R and her mom, and I wish her much success as she finishes off the school year and looks forward to planning her future this fall!
